One of the great things about electronic media is the ability to have almost instantaneous, worldwide, freely available communication, and this website is no different in that regard. With the phenomenal growth in viewership of the MHS website comes a point where the duties of content creation must be split among people who are "in the know" about a particular subject. With that in mind, the webmaster will, on a limited basis and at his sole discretion, reprint articles submitted by third parties. We want to thank in advance the time and effort of all who submit articles to make this one of the most informative websites in the MPSA. ************************************************************************************ MHS

The Generals scored first when offensive lineman Preston Bates recovered a MHS fumble in the end zone at the 3:21 mark in the first quarter. The point-after attempt that followed was no good, resulting in a Generals 6-0 lead. With the score 6-0 at halftime, the Chiefs had outrushed the Generals 90 yards to 64 yards. Both teams aerial game was extremely ineffective in the first half, with both teams having less than 15 yards passing over the first two quarters. MHS scored their only points with 3:09 left in the 3rd quarter when Cameron Lawrence dived into the end zone from the two yard line. Ricky Lawrence’s extra point was good, and MHS briefly cut the lead to 12-7 in the 3rd quarter. The Generals would put the icing on the cake with 2:39 left in the 4th quarter when Kevin Burford scored his second TD of the game on a 6 yard rush. Burford’s touchdown would lead the final score of 26-7. The Chiefs end their season 11-2 as the North AAA Division II Champions.
