In honor of the Superbowl being played on Sunday, Coach Bobby Franklin visited the 3rd graders at MHS last week. Coach Franklin played in the NFL for the Cleveland Browns and also served as an assistant coach for the Dallas Cowboys and the Baltimore Colts.

Congratulations to MHS student Mary Lathan Pittman, winner of the Tate County Spelling Bee for the 2nd year in a row!

The MAIS North AAA Junior High Basketball Tournament will be held this week at MRA. Check here for the tournament bracket.

Our 6th grade boys basketball team won 1st place and the 6th grade girls basketball team came in 2nd place in the MHS Pee Wee Tournament. Congratulations!

Congratulations to MHS Senior Matt Womack for being selected to the Clarion Ledger Mississippi Best of Preps All State Football Team. Matt is the only MAIS player that was selected.

The second grade play will be held on Wednesday, February 4th, at 8:30am in Troutt Hall.

Parent Preview Day is Thursday, February 19th, from 10:00am-2:00pm. If you know of a prospective family that would like an invitation, please contact the school with their names and addresses.

Magnolia Heights has been selected as an Apple Distinguished School, click on the Apple icon at the bottom left to view the application submitted that earned MHS this special distinction. An Apple Recognition Ceremony was held last week at the school. Check here for the feature story on WREG.
